> Who is Prison Fellowship

You can rescue a generation… one child at a time. We are losing a generation of children!

But there is a powerful solution. It is not the government. Only a solution centered around Jesus Christ can save this generation of prisoners and their children.

Support Our Ministry

It takes so little to make a big difference

Cell-to-cell evangelism. Discipleship. Bible studies. Parent training. Faith-based alcohol and drug rehabilitation. Parent-child pen pal programs. Connections to local churches.

Father and Son

Your generosity can help in so many ways! For example:

  • $13.80 shares the Gospel with 2 prisoners.
  • $25 helps 2 children celebrate a Day with Dad in prison.
  • $40 provides Bible study materials for an incarcerated father and his wife.

How much will you do to save lives today? Each inmate changed into a loving father can save a child from a future behind bars.

Breaking The Cycle By The Numbers

Prisoners and their Children Stand at a Crossroads

You can make sure they choose the right path and give up their prison number to join a set of much more powerful statistics that lead to success and new life in Christ!

  • Tens of thousands of prisoners are ministered to and mentored by Prison Fellowship volunteers and employees every day…
  • Including the 1,165 prisoners enrolled in Prison Fellowship's 8 faith-based reentry units,
  • And the nearly 4,000 prisoners who attended Prison Fellowship's evangelistic yard events last year.
  • Prison Fellowship's goal over the next 3 years is to establish 75 welcoming communities of caring churches and organizations so released prisoners will get the support they need to Break the Cycle.
  • More than 3,000 volunteers and over 10,000 churches have served prisoners and their families to reach 7.5 million children over the past 27 years.

Transformation Through the Father

Natalie and PabloNatalie and Pablo's father was arrested and sentenced to 12 years in prison when Natalie was 5 years old, and Pablo was just 2. Their childhood memories of their father consist only of monthly prison visits. For years, Natalie yearned for her father's release. But as she got older, her feelings about her father shifted from eager anticipation to resentful indifference.

But Natalie and Pablo's father had surrendered his life to Christ. And from his prison cell, he wanted to extend that powerful transformation to his family. Through Prison Fellowship, their father sent gifts and messages from the Gospel. "Even though I was angry at my dad, he was still thinking of me," says Natalie. And through that Prison Fellowship connection, Natalie and Pablo's father got his family into a local church. "The church changed my heart around," Natalie says. "I was able to forgive my dad."

Please pray for Natalie and Pablo and all children who grow up without their mom or their dad because of bad choices and sinful crimes. Pray that their hearts will not be hardened, and that they will find a path to love and forgiveness in Jesus Christ.

The Cycle Broken

DarrenDarren was just 4 years old when he lost his father to a life sentence in prison. Later, his stepdad also went to prison. And his older brother took a few trips to jail, too. The harsh streets of Washington, D.C. were trapping Darren in an endless cycle.

Then, through Prison Fellowship, Darren got involved with a local church. After 5 years of this church's patient ministry, Darren decided to get serious about God. At the age of 15, he was teamed up with one of the church members, a young man who would mentor Darren. After just one month of Bible studies together, Darren prayed to receive Christ. He embraced a new life — one that rejected the "traditions" of the men in his family. Now Darren is telling others about Christ, including his younger brother and cousin.

Please pray for Darren and kids like him who are stepping outside what they know to embrace something new — a new life in Christ! Pray, too, that they will be bold in sharing the Gospel with others, so that other family cycles of crime and prison will be broken.
